the kit consists of a perfectly fitted platform that matches the back of the Garmin 195. the GarHawk receptacle connects directly to the power pad on the 195 unit and,  allows the use of our expandable/ retractable power cord. Plug one end into the receptacle,  the other into the cigarette lighter and you're ready to go.  A clean, neat cockpit with no tied up cable to get caught in the controls.

Fits all GarHawk Holding Systems.  Receptacle and expandable/retractable cord may be purchased separately.  

 

GT 295/196 Kit  

        for Garmin 295 Color GPS and new Garmin 196

the kit consists of a GarHawk holding system base plate; a dedicated plate which holds the Garmin 295 or 196 cradle; a quick release cord clamp plus, an expandable and retractable DC power cord which connects the Garmin 295 or 196 to the cigarette lighter.  Works with all GarHawk Holding Systems!

Cord may be purchased separately.  Clean up your cockpit!  No more stiff cable to tie up or snag on controls.  Just plug connector end into the Garmin 295  or 196 and the other into your ship's DC power source.  Cord will always expand and retract to correct length.  Comes with quick release cord clamp.  Cord also fits all other Garmin units with four-pin connector!

Some folks say it's best to hold the light in your mouth.  Controllers say no.  Others contend you should stick it to your ear or on your forehead.  Great for coal miners who can't fall any farther.  A few even advocate holding it in your hand.  Not many old one-handed pilots left around.  Here at GarHawk we're convinced you should use both hands and your head to fly the airplane and let us hold the light. 

Fact!  Light reflects off all surfaces - some more than others with lighter, smoother surfaces at the top of the list.  Skin is a good reflective surface.  For optimum performance, a light source should never originate behind the eyes.  The emitted light reflects off the skin around the eyes, as well as other surfaces near the eyes, thereby reducing vision.  When is the last time you walked around with a flashlight held behind your head?

The GarHawk lighting system uses any 700 series size flashlight, such as the AA battery powered Maglite or, our own Brinkman brand.  A 2" square transparent base locks securely to two 1/4" X 2" strips of transparent Eaglock material which can be attached to any flat surface in the cockpit; i.e., side window, windshield, plastic overhead fixture, etc.  The light holder can then be removed instantly or, the flashlight can simply be removed from the holder.  

Sold with or without flashlight.  Comes with supply of Eaglock for three mounting locations.  Will not harm Plexiglas windows or windshields.  Simply the best!
